Miracles
An
Introduction

Rediscovering
Your
Authentic
Self:
Applying
A Course
in
Miracles
to
Everyday
Life
A
Course
in
Miracles
is an
internationally
acclaimed
spiritual
text
that was
scribed
over a
seven-year
period
in
the late
1960s by
Helen
Schucman
and
William
Thetford,
Professors
of
Medical
Psychology
at
Columbia
University’s
College
of
Physicians
and
Surgeons
in New
York
City,
who
attributed
its
authorship
to
Jesus.
Although
Christian
terminology
is used,
it is
not
ascribed
the
meaning
in which
it is
traditionally
understood.
Instead,
it is
used in
a way
that
perfectly
upholds
love and
innocence
and the
eternally
unassailable
perfection
of both
God and
the
Child of
God, the
Christ
or
Sonship,
of which
Jesus is
a part.
Through
the
Course,
we are
encouraged
to
explore
the idea
that the
Christ
Mind is
within
us all
and is
revealed
to be
the
actual
place
where
all is
one.
These
teachings
have
touched
my life
so
deeply,
and
continue
to do so
today,
that I
have
committed
to make
it my
life’s
work to
learn
and
demonstrate
them
with
each
person
and
every
event in
my life.

"Miracles are expressions of Love. They undo fear and restore the truth.”
Whenever we feel afraid, guilty, or powerless, it is time to ask for a miracle. Our reality is love, and in any moment we forget this, we call on the miracle for remembrance of this fact. The request for a miracle is always answered because it is a request for love and truth to be restored to the situation. Whenever we ask for a miracle, the correction of fear and error is sure to follow.
Every expression of love is miraculous because it brings with it the evidence and validation that we are loveable, and deserving of the greatest life has to offer—peace of mind, and joy.
A miracle is a corrective “agent” from which both the recipient and the provider of the miracles receive blessings. They each receive blessings because the miracle restores truth, and thus understanding, to any situation which was hostage to fear, dishonesty, lack, limitation, or illness.
